Health & Safety
Wind energy and marine energy development may affect human health and safety in a variety of ways. Some of the stressors that might impact communities nearby, physically or mentally, include toxins and pollutants, noise associated with construction and operations, and visual impacts (e.g., shadow flicker, lighting). Worker health and safety may also be at risk during project construction, maintenance, and other development stages, especially when working in harsh, offshore environments.
