Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI)
Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI) is an independent nonprofit that works to solve renewable energy, wildlife, and related natural resource challenges through sound science and collaboration.
REWI conducts and supports scientific research to better understand the risks renewable energy may pose to wildlife and related natural resources and develops solutions to avoid, minimize, and offset those impacts. Built on a strong partnership of leaders, REWI works collaboratively with the renewable energy industry, conservation and science organizations, and wildlife management agencies to ensure that renewable energy and wildlife both thrive. Prior to January 2022, REWI was known as the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) with a focus on solving wind-wildlife challenges for a sustainable energy future.
