The Institute of Applied Ecology has analysed terrestrial and aquatic habitats and ecosystems for more than 15 years. Founded in 1993 as a private research organization, the institute specializes on environmental monitoring, providing both public agencies and private companies with expert ecological consulting services. While most activities are carried out on the German Baltic coast, IfAO is increasingly engaged in nation-wide and international projects.
