Gemini Wind Park
Gemini formed a unique consortium comprising four companies: a Canadian power producer, a German tech firm, a Dutch marine contractor, and a public utility company.
This consortium of energy, technology, marine contracting, and engineering worked together to build a large-scale offshore wind park in the Netherlands. Northland Power led the project, with Van Oord as the main contractor for the installation and Siemens providing 150 wind turbines and maintenance services. HVC contributed renewable energy expertise from their contacts with Dutch provinces and municipalities.
Gemini Wind Park is owned by four companies:
1. Northland Power (60%), a listed Canadian power producer.
2. Siemens (20%), a listed German technology firm.
3. HVC (10%), a Dutch sustainable waste and energy company
4. Alte Leipziger-Hallesche (10%), a German insurance company
The Gemini Supervisory Board consists of six members: two representing Northland Power and Siemens and two individual members for HVC and Alte Leipziger-Hallesche. This last shareholder is represented by wpd invest.
