MARBEC

MARBEC is a French research unit dedicated to studying marine biodiversity, its exploitation, and conservation. It's a joint research unit (UMR) involving several organizations, including the Université de Montpellier (UM), CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research), Ifremer (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea), IRD (French Research Institute for Development), and INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment). MARBEC's research focuses on understanding marine ecosystems, the impacts of human activities, and finding solutions for sustainable use and conservation.
