Dalarna University

Dalarna University is a government-funded institute of higher education that operates according to Sweden's Higher Education Act and Higher Education Ordinance. The University Governing Board is in place to ensure the University is run in accordance with these. Dalarna University aims to promote an environment founded on the equal value of the individual. Everyone shall have access to higher education regardless of external factors. One facilitator of this is the fact the University has developed a virtual campus to allow for flexible studies wherever students live and whenever they can study. They offer open-learning forums and environments that are web-based, with many of thier resources being accessible 24 hours a day. Using digital technology, Dalarna has created sustainable, global meeting places that allow for personal development and educational opportunities.
