Cuyahoga County Department of Development

The Cuyahoga County Department of Development provides unique and award-winning programs to help local citizens and businesses. The department has responded to the County Charter’s mandate for County government to provide “job creation and economic growth as a fundamental government purpose,” by developing and administering creative and innovative programs in community development, economic development, and housing. The Department of Development’s professional staff work with local elected officials, business leaders, small business owners, entrepreneurs, non-profits, arts and cultural organizations, and universities to provide technical assistance and educational opportunities that will ensure a vibrant economic future for our region.
