Alderney Wildlife Trust (AWT)
As a small organisation, working within what we must admit is a rather a unique community, the Alderney Wildlife Trust (AWT) tries to maintain a simple overarching aim - preserving the island's biodiversity by helping the island's residents, and its visitors, to gain a better understanding of their island. In undertaking this aim the AWT looks to:
- educate the public about the importance of sustainable development, biodiversity conservation and wildlife;
- encourage a sustainable Alderney where people and biodiversity co-exist;
- promote the conservation of Alderney's terrestrial and marine habitats, places of scientific interest, amenity value and natural beauty.
