Montara Mountain Energy

Montara is a small energy consulting firm that specializes in geospatial planning, and provides technical support to policymakers in local, state, and federal governments.

We have experience with more than just spatial planning. Our industry experience includes independent engineering for renewable energy project finance (~100 large projects in 5 years), bid reviews and evaluation for procurement (for utilities and for a large private research institution), energy production estimates, contracts, and asset management (10 existing utility-scale solar facilities, primarily in Canada).

Current clients include state agencies (CPUC) NGOs (TNC), and research institutions (Princeton), working together to bring forward land use information to inform energy planning and policy decisions.
