GKSS Research Center Geesthacht GmbH

The GKSS Research Centre is member of the Helmholtz Association of Research Centres, which is the biggest research organisation in Germany. With a staff of about 750 and an annual budget of 65 M. Euros GKSS serves mainly three research areas: material science, separation techniques and coastal research.
The GKSS Institute for Coastal Research has its focus on advanced observation techniques including microwave and optical remote sensing as well as modelling and information retrieval techniques.
