The Centre for Northern Studies (CEN) is a Quebec research centre dedicated to northern Quebec and Canada. The objective of the Centre is to improve knowledge of northern regions in relation to the multiple changes affecting them with a view to sustainable development . Fields of expertise include periglacial geomorphology, limnology, plant and animal ecology, microbiology, paleoecology, geology, numerical modelling, hydrology, bioarchaeology, engineering, and remote sensing
