Webinar on Friday, April 12, 2019

Presenter: Michael Schirmacher, Director, Wind Energy Program for Bat Conservation International

For the last 15 years, the Bats and Wind Energy Cooperative (BWEC) has been developing tools and science-based solutions to reduce bat fatalities at wind turbines. At the most recent BWEC All Committee Science Meeting, representative stakeholders developed a list of research priorities for 2019 to 2021. This webinar will provide a summary of the issues related to bats and wind energy, a brief history of the BWEC, and its current strategy to address bats and wind energy issues.
