While the respective scopes of each of the databases are varied, all convey information relevant to wind and marine renewable energy. The database contains project details for over 1,700 offshore wind projects in 47 different countries, including location, timeline, and ownership, as well as the specific turbine, transmission, and vessel technologies deployed. Additionally, the database contains an interactive map that allows users to search for different offshore wind farms, proposed projects, major ports, wind speed, water depth, and more.

The American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWIC) is an independent nonprofit that conducts and supports scientific research to better understand wind energy's risks to wildlife and develop solutions to avoid, minimize, and offset those impacts. The AWWIC Documents Library includes peer-reviewed wind-wildlife research, published articles and reports, and publicly available but un-published reports prepared for wind energy facilities in North America (both before and after construction). 

Atlantic Offshore Seabird Dataset Catalog

The Atlantic Offshore Seabird Dataset Catalog, a product of collaboration between several bureaus within the U.S. Department of Interior, contains historical and contemporary datasets on survey effort and bird observations along the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf. The full archive contains over 70 datasets and each observation record includes a point location, date, and time, as well as a species and observation count.

California Offshore Wind Energy Gateway

The Offshore Renewable Wind Energy Gateway assembles geospatial information on ocean wind resources, ecological and natural resources, ocean commercial and recreational uses, and community values. Data Basin hosts the gateway on their mapping and analysis platform in support of the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force. The information is intended to help identify areas off of California that are potentially suitable for wind energy generation.

This platform has an element that makes it unique: it has been constructed based on user experience, which has allowed to secure its functionality with the end user.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) eLibrary maintains a record of all permit-related documents for sites under their jurisdiction, which includes all U.S. MHK projects. Users can conduct general searches or enter a specific docket number to search through the eLibrary. Note the eLibrary contains MHK filings, as well as conventional hydrokinetic project filings.

Global Renewable Infrastructure Project (GRIP) data hub

The SOWFIA (Streamlining of Ocean Wave Farms Impact Assessment) Project aims to achieve the sharing and consolidation of pan-European experience of consenting processes and environmental and socio-economic impact assessment (IA) best practices for offshore wave energy conversion developments. The SOWFIA Data Management Platform (DMP) is an interactive tool designed to present wave energy and IA related information. The DMP can be used to find detailed information on a particular project, test site, or to view data regarding one or more environmental parameters.

IRENA's REsource portal enables users to search for renewable energy information, publications, and data and statistics by energy source, country, or technology. 
SOWFIA Marine Renewable Energy International The SOWFIA (Streamlining of Ocean Wave Farms Impact Assessment) Project aims to achieve the sharing and consolidation of pan-European experience of consenting processes and environmental and socio-economic impact assessment (IA) best practices for offshore wave energy conversion developments. The SOWFIA Data Management Platform (DMP) is an interactive tool designed to present wave energy and IA related information. The DMP can be used to find detailed information on a particular project, test site, or to view data regarding one or more environmental parameters. 
UKSeaMap 2010 Interactive Map Marine Renewable Energy, Offshore Wind United Kingdom The Joint Nature Conservation Committee's (JNCC) UKSeaMap 2010 Project produced a seabed habitat map for the UK marine area. The interactive mapping portal contains a broadscale predicted seabed habitat map based on the European Nature Information System (EUNIS) habitat classifications, an updated map of coastal physiographic features, and the data used in the modelling process.

The interactive map enables users to view project details including technology type, ownership, and project status.
 
Wave & Tidal Knowledge Network (WTKN) Marine Renewable Energy United Kingdom The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult's Wave & Tidal Knowledge Network (WTKN) is an open access database that contains reports, datasets, and project data related to environmental impacts and consents, grid connections, health and safety, and more. 
West Coast Ocean Data Portal Marine Renewable Energy, Offshore Wind United States The West Coast Ocean Data Portal is a project of the West Coast Governors Alliance on Ocean Health to increase discovery and connectivity of ocean and coastal data and people to better inform regional resource management, policy development, and ocean planning. The Portal informs priority West Coast ocean issues such as tracking sources and patterns of marine debris, adaptation to sea-level rise, understanding impacts of ocean acidification on our coasts, and marine planning.
