Abstract
This preliminary decommissioning programme describes how the structures comprising the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm would be decommissioned in accordance with the guidance provided by DECC 1. The decommissioning programme will be reviewed following consultations with DECC and other interested parties prior to a formal application for approval under the Energy Act.
A final decommissioning programme will be prepared at least a year before decommissioning activities commence. It is anticipated that this final programme would be informed by an updated environmental impact review and influenced by the technology available and the legislative framework in place at the time.
