The mission of the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation is to preserve and protect the marine environment through conservation efforts including education, rehabilitation, and research. RFMRP operates the New York State Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program, and is the only organization in New York authorized to work with these federally protected animals. RFMRP is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Riverhead, Suffolk County (Long Island), NY.
