North Lowther Energy Initiative

The North Lowther Energy Initiative is a joint venture between 2020 Renewables and Buccleuch. 2020 Renewables is a dynamic company specialising in developing, constructing and operating renewable energy projects with over two decades of experience across the United Kingdom. Buccleuch comprises the business interests of the Buccleuch family, including commercial property investment and development, hospitality and tourism, energy, rural land management, rural sports and a wholesale tree nursery. Together these two firms are involved in a number of innovative energy initiatives. 2020 and Buccleuch are working with partners including Scottish Government, Scottish Mines Restoration Trust, Dumfries and Galloway Council and Hargreaves Services on the restoration of the Glemuckloch open cast coalmine.
