Lipu

Founded in 1965, Lipu has contributed to the creation of oases, parks, nature reserves, to the designation and protection of the Natura 2000 network in Italy. 

It manages 27 oases and nature reserves and 9 wildlife recovery centers. It carries out national and international projects and activities for the protection of birds, conservation of biodiversity, environmental policies, environmental education. It promotes knowledge of nature and ecological culture through publications, documents, training activities, events.

LIPU is a legal entity recognized by the President of the Republic, an environmental association recognized by the Ministry of the Environment, a voluntary organization, an entity capable of carrying out scientific research, a member of the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature).
