Landesamt fur Umwelt

The Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) is the central technical authority for environmental protection and conservation, geology and water management in Bavaria. They collect and evaluate data on the state of the environment in Bavaria. Their diverse responsibilities include, inter alia, waste management, plant safety, soil, geology, water and groundwater protection, flood control, climate change, noise and vibration, air pollution, nature conservation and landscape management, material and chemical assessment, radiation protection, environmental management, water conservancy, water supply, multidisciplinary and cross-media issues.
What we do know, we pass: at conferences, in national and international bodies, as a consultant to business, science, government, local authorities, politicians and the public on the Internet, our online data and information services and publications.
