Jiangsu University of Science and Technology
JUST traces its origins to Shanghai Private Dagong Vocational School, founded in 1933, which focused on mechanical engineering, civil engineering, commerce, and applied chemistry. In 1953, it evolved into the Shanghai Shipbuilding Industry School, later undergoing multiple reorganizations and relocations, including the move to Zhenjiang in 1970, when it became the Zhenjiang Shipbuilding Industry School. After a series of mergers with institutions like the Jiangsu Jianghai Trade School and the Sericulture Research Institute, in 2004 it was officially named Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
