Blue Transmission
Blue Transmission Investments Limited invests in offshore transmission businesses in the UK known as "offshore transmission owners" or "OFTOs". Each OFTO business owns and manages high voltage offshore transmission systems that connect offshore wind farms to the national grid onshore. The diagram below shows the scope of the OFTO, which includes an offshore substation, which serves the offshore wind farm, offshore and onshore cables and an onshore substation, where the system connects to the onshore grid.
