Atlantic Renewable Energy Corporation

 PPM Energy, the U.S. competitive subsidiary of ScottishPower (NYSE: SPI), announced the acquisition of Richmond, Virginia-based Atlantic Renewable Energy Corporation and its wind development portfolio as a wholly owned subsidiary of PPM, called PPM Atlantic Renewable.
 
PPM Energy, Inc. is now part of IBERDROLA RENEWABLES, S.A., and has changed its name to Iberdrola Renewables, Inc. In addition, PPM Energy Canada Limited has changed its name to IBERDROLA Canada Energy Services Ltd. and remains an indirect subsidiary of Scottish Power Ltd.
