The joint RWSC-MTS Technology Committee, which includes members from government, the private sector, and environmental nonprofits, is hosting a series of workshops aimed at assessing the state of the science regarding technologies, tools, and methods for monitoring marine mammals around offshore wind construction activities in partnership with two US Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories (the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory), with support from the DOE and contributions from NOAA, BOEM, and Turn Forward.
Please save the date for the third workshop in this virtual series on Tuesday, November 19, from 1-4pm ET. Register here. An agenda and pre-workshop materials can be found here.
Feedback on PNNL and NREL’s work can be submitted via an online form. This form is open to collect submissions now, prior to the workshop session, and will remain open until November 26. The workshop session agenda includes time to explain the type of feedback requested via the form, how PNNL and NREL will integrate feedback received, and a brief period of time for participants to fill out the form during the session immediately following PNNL and NREL’s presentation.
