This final webinar brings the full study together by reviewing key findings and deliverables, then shifting the conversation to next steps. Join Net Zero Atlantic, Stantec and E3 for a practical, forward-looking discussion focused on the Roadmap and Action Plan that outlines how Atlantic Canada can move from first-of-kind offshore wind projects toward a mature, scalable, and integrated offshore wind industry.

A key feature of this session will be a walk-through of the project's publicly available database and visual user interface, designed to make the study's findings accessible, transparent, and usable for a wide range of stakeholders. About the Presenters 

• Berend van Middendorp - Stantec
  • Berend van Middendorp is a Senior Consultant at Stantec with expertise in energy data analytics, information management, and technology solutions. He supports utilities, developers, and government agencies by structuring, integrating, and visualizing complex datasets to enable informed planning and decision-making for the energy transition. His experience spans technology implementation, data modelling, and analytics strategy. For this study, Berend led the translation of offshore wind data into an intuitive database and visual interface designed to unlock actionable insights for a wide range of stakeholders.
• Pheadra Tairol - Stantec
  • Phaedra has over 25 years of experience in the high voltage power transmission industry. She has led teams on projects encompassing high voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, high voltage power cables, transmission planning studies, and substation grounding studies and design. Over the course of her career, Phaedra has been involved in the conceptual design, planning, development, and implementation of HVDC systems across projects in India, Chile, Canada, the United States, Europe, and New Zealand.
• Katy Macdonald - Stantec
  • Katy is a results-oriented infrastructure advisory professional focused on sustainable solutions and operational excellence within energy markets. With a strong understanding of the policy, advisory, and regulatory landscape, she is committed to meeting her clients' strategic ambitions while supporting the communities they serve. Katy has facilitated regulatory and asset management initiatives, optimized stakeholder engagement practices, and led strategic energy transition projects. Her recent work includes comprehensive connection modelling for a major solar operation, several successful regulatory filings, and the establishment of unique benchmarking streams.
• Nate Grady - E3
  • Nate is a consultant in E3's resource planning and asset valuation practice, supporting clients through long-term capacity expansion analyses and due diligence investigations. His work focuses on the intersection of electric-sector policy drivers and energy market trends, with particular interest in transmission planning, resource siting, and the evolution of markets as new technologies emerge.
    Nate joined E3 following completion of his Master of Environmental Management degree at Yale University, where he focused on clean energy economics, finance, and policy analysis. Prior to graduate school, he worked at Meister Consultants Group on strategic electrification initiatives.
