EERA DeepWind Conference 2026

EERA DeepWind is an international event aiming to present the best ongoing research and innovation related to deep sea offshore wind farms, both bottom-fixed and floating. The conference has been developing every year since 2004, and is established as an important venue on deep sea offshore wind R&D organized by SINTEF, NTNU and EERA JP wind.

Conference topics are related to the six R&I priority themes defined by EERA JP Wind:

Industrialisation, scale-up, and competitiveness

  • Including aspects of Mass production and manufacturing, Environmental impact, Substructures and mooring, and Experimental testing and validation

Optimisation and further digitalisation of operations and maintenance

  • Including aspects of Digitalisation and AI to optimise operation and maintenance, Marine operations and logistics, Environmental impact, and Wind farm optimisation

Wind energy system integration

  • Including aspects of Grid connection and power system integration, Wind farm control and Wind farm optimisation

Sustainability and circularity

  • Including aspects of Environmental impact, and Substructures and mooring

Skills, acceptability, and coexistence

  • Including Societal impact

Cross-cutting research themes

  • Including aspects of New turbine and generator technology, Met-ocean conditions, Societal impact, and Regulatory framework
