EERA DeepWind is an international event aiming to present the best ongoing research and innovation related to deep sea offshore wind farms, both bottom-fixed and floating. The conference has been developing every year since 2004, and is established as an important venue on deep sea offshore wind R&D organized by SINTEF, NTNU and EERA JP wind.
Conference topics are related to the six R&I priority themes defined by EERA JP Wind:
Industrialisation, scale-up, and competitiveness
- Including aspects of Mass production and manufacturing, Environmental impact, Substructures and mooring, and Experimental testing and validation
Optimisation and further digitalisation of operations and maintenance
- Including aspects of Digitalisation and AI to optimise operation and maintenance, Marine operations and logistics, Environmental impact, and Wind farm optimisation
Wind energy system integration
- Including aspects of Grid connection and power system integration, Wind farm control and Wind farm optimisation
Sustainability and circularity
- Including aspects of Environmental impact, and Substructures and mooring
Skills, acceptability, and coexistence
- Including Societal impact
Cross-cutting research themes
- Including aspects of New turbine and generator technology, Met-ocean conditions, Societal impact, and Regulatory framework
