Abstract
The purpose of the Project and Public Safety Plan is to describe: 1) safety devices and measures to ensure the safety of the public near the Project components; 2) ways in which the Project will be monitored to determine if there is an emergency; 3) procedures taken during an emergency; 4) procedures for reporting the emergency to local, state, and federal agencies; 5) contingency measures to modify operations or to implement the Project removal plan; 6) procedures for the annual testing of emergency equipment; and 7) procedures for annually coordinating with response agencies.
