North Sea Futures

North Sea Futures is an independent, not-for-profit company and network organisation, founded by Anne-Mette Jørgensen (Director). Their mission is to: (1) stimulate research-based knowledge, case-by-case experience and stakeholder engagement around the relation between offshore infrastructure, ecosystem services and other societal values in the North Sea; (2) develop and demonstrate a next best practise in design, management and decommissioning of offshore energy installations that maximizes ecosystem and wider societal benefits; (3) inspire innovation in the offshore energy sector that helps to maximize ecosystem services provided by offshore structures, while making the best possible use of natural resources in line with the principles of a circular economy; (4) push for the creation of innovative mechanisms for funding sustainable development and improved ecosystem resilience in the North Sea.
