National Maritime Research Institute (MMRI)

The National Maritime Research Institute is Japan’s major research center for maritime and technologies; i.e., the repository for the knowledge accumulated from the time of our forerunner the Ship Research Institute, world-level experimental facilities and number of researchers over some 170. Their Basic Principles are four contributions in maritime affairs and the offshore sector. By virtue of Core Technologies, unparalleled key technologies of the Institute, they will offer advanced technological solutions for the various challenges of society, the government and industries to realize their Management Vision.
