Midwest Wind Energy (MWE) was a leading developer of utility-scale wind farms in the central United States, bringing renewable energy to communities through partnerships with local landowners, government agencies and strong equity partners. MWE successfully developed nine wind farms totaling just over 800MWs that were constructed and achieved commercial operation. These projects required well over a billion dollars of capital to attain commercialization.

In March 2013, MWE sold its wind farm development portfolio to Geronimo Energy (Geronimo), a developer of utility-scale wind and solar projects throughout the United States.
