The Technology Performance Level (TPL) assessment tool is a holistic methodology to assess a marine energy converter (MEC) technology’s ability to achieve market competitiveness and acceptability when fully developed. TPL helps streamline technology development pathways enabling focused technology improvements through the identification of technology specific ‘pain points’, reduces cost, time and risk of the development and provides robustness against failure. The webinar will outline the TPL tool and the service options to be provided within the TEAMER program with a focus on TPLs potential to support wave and current energy converters (WECs and CECs) development across multiple markets from continental grid to various Powering the Blue Economy (PBE) markets.
