The Norwegian Fiscal Policy Committee recently recommended that offshore wind investments be put on hold. At the same time, the committee believes that more onshore wind should be built and that Norway should import power at a low price when the market around us is strong.
How realistic are the recommendations of the committee when we know the level of conflict both around onshore wind and new inter-country connections? Are all the analysis agencies wrong when they say that Norway is dependent on offshore wind to meet the increasing consumption in households, the transport sector and industry?
We invite members of the Fiscal Policy Committee to a debate with, among others, offshore wind developers and suppliers.
