NYSERDA Webinar: Offshore Wind Contract Mechanisms to Manage Risk

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) Offshore Wind team is hosting an educational webinar series to connect the public with independent experts in key topics in offshore wind, including wind farm technologies, development practices, regulatory processes, and research initiatives.

In this webinar, Jon Thursby, Paul Zarnowiecki, Adam Griffin, and Alfred Weightman with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe will discuss how state offtake contracts for offshore wind are being designed to incorporate flexible and adaptive terms that manage financial risks. They will also discuss how federal support, such as tax incentives and grants, is being integrated into these contracts to help achieve cost reductions, stimulate investment, and meet the nation’s renewable energy goals.
