The Northeast Bat Working Group (NEBWG) is happy to continue the tradition of bringing together scientists, conservationists, educators, and enthusiasts to support and inform each other's work on behalf of bats. The 2026 Northeast Bat Working Group annual meeting will be held in Saratoga Springs, NY from January 14-16, 2026. The annual meeting is a terrific opportunity to share research findings, interact with fellow professionals, and inspire new approaches for studying and conserving bats.
The Northeast Bat Working Group (NEBWG) is comprised of agencies, organizations, industry, and individuals interested in bat research, management, and conservation located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Virginia area regions. A winter meeting is held each year at various locations where participants present results from previous studies, provide updates on long term projects, and plan future multi-state collaborative endeavors. State representatives provide summaries of their state's bat related activities, while federal representatives provide updates on national scale policy and protection efforts.
