Under the theme Nature-inclusive design innovations supporting the offshore renewable energy sector, this year’s conference will explore how nature+ solutions can support both mature and emerging offshore renewable energy markets, from the North Sea to the Iberian Atlantic.
Nature+ refers to solutions to minimise environmental impact, and enhance biodiversity such as artificial reefs, habitat creation, as well as innovations to monitor and mitigate environmental effects, such as bird monitoring, noise mitigation, and more.
The event will create a space to exchange lessons learned, strengthen international collaboration and accelerate the uptake of practical nature-positive approaches across Europe, while promoting opportunities for collaboration.
Key topics will include biodiversity enhancement, scaling up environmental monitoring, mitigation by design, circularity and the delivery of positive net gains for marine ecosystems. The conference will bring together industry, policymakers, researchers, environmental experts and innovators to discuss how nature-inclusive solutions can be integrated into offshore renewable energy planning, permitting, deployment and operation.
The event will create a space to exchange lessons learned, strengthen international collaboration and accelerate the uptake of practical nature-inclusive approaches across Europe, while promoting opportunities for collaboration.
The event will take place both in person and online, with limited capacity for in-person attendance.
