MSP NATURE 2020, originally scheduled for April 24 - 28, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 global health emergency. The conference organizing committee is currently developing and evaluating alternative options for this event and will provide updates as soon as possible.
MSP NATURE 2020 will be hosted by the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) together with the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW) and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation.
MSP NATURE 2020 serves as a platform in order to exchange different concepts of considering nature conservation in Marine Spatial Planning (MSP). Therefore a proposal on how to implement Nature Conservation in MSP will be presented based on selected findings of our research projects. The conference will follow an interdisciplinary approach and provide excellent opportunities for discussing international, national and regional efforts and strategies on the role of Nature Conservation in MSP as well as the future needs and directions. The meeting will also be a good occasion for networking and collaboration initiatives.
