Ventyr is currently conducting an impact assessment of the Sørlige Nordsjø II offshore wind farm, and has started a dialogue with fisheries organizations. Perhaps Utsira Nord will be put out to tender in June 2025? The Ministry of Energy has conducted a consultation on opening three areas for offshore wind. And the government has an ambition to allocate land for 30 GW of offshore wind by 2040. Norway needs more renewable energy and to create jobs and industrial development. At the same time, it is a prerequisite that offshore wind should not damage fisheries or fish stocks. This is the reason why the wind power industry and the fishing industry are collaborating on solutions that can ensure that both fishing and offshore wind can operate their industries in the sea.
