Deep Dive: Protecting Offshore Energy Infrastructure

The Dutch Marine Energy Center (DMEC) is organizing a Deep Dive to explore how offshore energy infrastructure can be effectively protected by integrating environmental, operational and security considerations. What to expect throughout the session?

  • Overview of the North Sea Energy program - how a North Sea-based consortium contributes to the sustainable development of offshore renewable energy infrastructure, by TNO.
  • Innovator perspective: how automated inspection and assessments in rough water technology accelerates offshore energy development, while protecting natural ecosystems, by Tethys Robotics.
  • Defense & security - policy developments that facilitate a strengthened front for offshore infrastructure, bridging the gap between industry and regulatory frameworks, by Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, PBNI (Protection of North Sea Infrastructure) Program.
  • Insights on how environmental, operational, and security considerations for offshore energy infrastructure can be integrated alongside nature protection.
  • The discussions will be moderated by Arjan Hofmann, Energy Innovation NL.

The Deep Dive is hosted in collaboration with the North Sea Energy project. For more details about the project and DMEC's work, please reach out to DMEC's Head of Innovations Astrid Groot.
