The 4th edition of the Global Offshore Wind Summit – China will be held in Yangjiang City, Guangdong, a province with the most ambitious offshore wind target in China, on 1-2 June 2019. For the first this year, GWEC has joined the two Chinese partners CWEA and CREIA as a co-organisers of this landmark event.
As the largest offshore wind summit outside of Europe, the event will bring a high-level audience of executives and senior government officials together to discuss the latest global offshore wind development that are shaping the future energy mix around the world.
In 2018, this summit attracted over 800 attendees – this year it is expected to gather Chinese and foreign government officials including the governor of Guangdong province and the head of NEA, CEO level speakers, well-known offshore wind experts, such as the offshore wind pioneer Henrik Stiesdal, and attendees from Chinese and international equipment manufacturers, utilities, IPPs, financial institutions and research centres.
The programme will consist of keynote speeches from leaders in the global offshore wind market, followed by a series of panels and forums with topics focusing on global offshore wind market outlook, leading edging offshore wind technology, offshore wind infrastructure, offshore balance of plant, local supply chain and smart offshore O&M . GOWS- China will serve as the official offshore wind platform, for both domestic and international attendees, to know the latest in policy, business, technology, infrastructure and supply chain for offshore wind developments in China.
The theme for this year’s event is to strengthen international cooperation and promote coordination across industries. As an event co-organiser, GWEC would like to welcomes experts, entrepreneurs and researchers around the world to join this event and share their offshore wind expertise and experience with local players.
