Ocean Energy Perspectives on Progress: Leadership Reflections Across IEA-OES Projects

Abstract

For over 20 years, the IEA-OES has been at the forefront of international collaboration in ocean energy, advancing innovation through a wide range of technical tasks and strategic actions. This special publication highlights the people behind these efforts— the Operating Agents— who play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and impact of the programme.

Through a series of short interviews, this report offers an inside look at the progress, challenges, and emerging opportunities in ocean energy. Their reflections provide not only technical insights but also a vision for the future, offering valuable guidance to developers, researchers, and policymakers working toward a sustainable energy transition.
