Strawberry Isle Marine Research Society (SIMRS)

Strawberry Isle Marine Research Society (SIMRS) is a registered charity based in Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The purposes of the Society are to:
(a) Conduct primary research of the marine ecosystems of Clayoquot Sound;
(b) Establish long term monitoring of the marine life unique to Clayoquot Sound;
(c) Support researchers in related studies;
(d) Promote public awareness of the marine environment in Clayoquot Sound; and
(e) Encourage public involvement in marine research in Clayoquot Sound.

They are a group of dedicated naturalists living and working on the waters of west coast Vancouver Island BC, conducting primary research and monitoring of various marine ecosystems in Clayoquot Sound.
