The Scottish Fisheries Co-ordination Centre (SFCC)
The Scottish Fisheries Coordination Centre (SFCC) was established in 1997 to promote and support evidence-based fisheries management across Scotland. Since its inception, SFCC has played a central role in advancing consistent data collection, knowledge sharing, and scientific collaboration to support the conservation and management of freshwater fisheries.
In 2017, SFCC became part of Fisheries Management Scotland, strengthening its national influence while maintaining a distinct membership and funding stream. This unique structure ensures that SFCC remains focused on the technical and scientific needs of the fisheries management community, while contributing to wider policy and conservation goals.
