Igiugig Tribal Village Council

The Igiugig Tribal Village Council serves Igiugig, a self-sufficient village with strong cultural and environmental values. Their mission is to provide resources, programs, and infrastructure to enhance our quality of life. The Sovereign Native Village of Igiugig is a self-sufficient Tribe in SW Alaska with strong values drawn from our Yup'ik, Sugpiaq, Dena’ina, and Unangax̂ peoples. They work for a prosperous future while respecting the lands and waters that sustain us. The Igiugig Village Council, which is also known as the Tribal Council, is responsible for handling the governmental activities of the Village in addition to maintaining and overseeing the Village's general well-being and continued existence.
