Center of Applied Ecology and Sustainability (CAPES)
The mission of CAPES is to conduct applied research in environmental issues that are relevant to the sustainable development of Chile in the international context of OECD standards and free trade agreements. Its strategy is to identify the needs of both private companies and state agencies, and engage them in order to raise and improve existing environmental standards. Through its 5 independent but intertwined Research Lines, the Center provides a platform of interdisciplinary approaches towards solving practical problems to achieve sustainability.
