Christi Calabrese, Director of Permitting and Environmental Affairs with EDP Renewables, will provide an industry perspective on identifying and developing wind projects including wildlife considerations. This webinar will include a 40 minute presentation with 20 minutes for questions and answers.
Background:
Bat Conservation International, in conjunction with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the American Wind Wildlife Institute, will conduct two webinars on wind energy and wildlife issues. The first webinar will focus on Tiers 1–3 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Land‐based Wind Energy Guidelines and the second webinar will be an introduction to wind energy development. The purpose of these webinars is to provide introductory material for participants attending the upcoming field‐based Wind and Wildlife Workshop, May 19–21 at NREL’s Wind Technology Center in Louisville, CO, but anyone interested in these topics is welcome to attend the webinars.
