Context and invitation
The Supergen ORE Hub is a research leadership project working to connect academia, industry, policy and public stakeholders, inspire innovation and maximise societal value in offshore wind, wave and tidal energy. As a hub connecting experts working on cutting-edge offshore renewable energy research, they offer a platform for the United Kingdom's foremost ORE researchers and spotlight relevant research.
This session will explore the factors that influence public responses to new developments and help us to understand what may slow or hinder the planning and consenting processes. As well as sharing insights from ongoing studies on community perspectives towards offshore renewables, Bryson Robertson and Hilary Boudet from Oregon State University will also provide an update on the PacWave project in Oregon, USA.
