Open data for floating wind: four EU projects, one mission

Open-access data can help research travel further, giving others the chance to build on existing results rather than start from scratch. On 17 September 2026, the webinar “Open Data for Floating Wind: Four EU Projects, One Mission” will showcase how datasets developed across four EU-funded floating offshore wind projects can be accessed and reused.

During the one-hour session, TAILWIND, FLOATFARM, MADE4WIND and INF4INiTY will present the datasets developed through their research. Speakers will explain what data is available, how it was generated and how researchers, engineers and technology developers can access and apply it in their own work. Aligi Foglia, Lead Geotechnical Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) and leader of TAILWIND, will discuss how the project datasets can contribute to a better understanding of offshore foundation system.

The webinar will also offer a wider look at the open-access data emerging from four EU-funded projects working on different aspects of floating offshore wind, giving participants a practical starting point for exploring and reusing their results.
