The purpose of this expert forum was to gather feedback from marine renewable energy developers on the risk retirement and data transferability, and to guide the development of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for applying risk retirement. The expert forum was hosted by OES-Environmental and included a presentation of OES-Environmental’s risk retirement framework, which provided an overview of the current status of risk retirement for key environmental interactions, the risk retirement pathway and case studies, the data transferability process, and BMPs for applying risk retirement. Poll Everywhere was used to gather feedback on risk retirement and data transferability, and a Canva collaborative whiteboard was used to gather feedback on BMPs for applying risk retirement. This expert forum was invitation-only and had 10 participants in attendance.
