The Wave Energy in Southern Europe (WESE) project is hosting its Final Event online on the 28th of October, at 9.30 am - 12.30 pm CEST.
The WESE project, co-funded through the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, aims to tackle non-technological barriers that hinder the future development of the wave energy sector. In this event, you will hear about the main outcomes of WESE addressing environmental concerns of wave energy technologies in Spain and Portugal, including:
- Environmental monitoring around marine energy converters and improvement of existing modelling tools.
- An efficient guide for consenting procedures.
- Decision support tools:
- Wave Energy Converters Ecological Risk Assessment Tool (WEC-ERA Tool: https://aztidata.es/wec-era/)
- Environmental Assessment and Marine Spatial Planning Tool (VAPEM Tool: https://aztidata.es/vapem/)
- Data sharing and exchange platform for developers and regulators (Marendata.eu).
