The Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) at Maynooth University Ireland will host its 6th Wave Energy Workshop on Friday January 24th 2020. The scope of the event will cover a range of topics across wave energy conversion, with a broad focus on modelling, control and estimation/forecasting, and will feature a range of presentations from international and local speakers with some focus on the culmination of the SFI project entitled "Development of the next generation of controllers for wave energy devices". There will be an open forum discussion “Does wave energy’s future lie with offshore wind?”.
The event is limited to 100 delegates (places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis) and a nominal registration fee of €30 will be charged to cover hospitality (lunch and 2 coffee-breaks included). We are also soliciting a call for posters (see below) to complement our set of invited oral presentations. It is also likely that remote connection to the workshop will be available through Adobe Connect.
