AB - AWATEA is seeking to bring some ideas to the political table.  The combined mix of technology-driven low impact energy supply with allied advances in research capability and growth is clearly the sort of thing that an economy of New Zealand’s scale needs to embrace.  Therefore the AWATEA Executive is busy defining a roadmap for marine energy and has developed a white paper, which can be downloaded below.  Given that it is an election year, this provides information to political parties as they evolve their energy policies. We want to give them tangible options that not only secure energy for 2030 and beyond but also act as a critical focal point for building new marine capability in what is the 4th biggest marine estate on the planet.
