AB - Thrace, in northeastern Greece, is a crucial habitat of European value for the survival of the continent’s birds of prey, and it is also designated as a priority area for the development of wind farms. Consequently, it is a valuable case study for identifying the conditions under which common ground can be found. A proactive planning system grounded on sound research and analysis and robust environmental impact assessments will direct wind farm development to the most suitable locations.
